Privacy and cookies
Short version: there is nowhere on this site to type anything about yourself, so nothing you enter is collected — because there is nothing to enter. The site does use analytics, and cookies are set in your browser.
What this site does not have
No accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter, no basket and no checkout. Buying happens on the hatchery's own website, not here, so no name, address or payment detail ever reaches this site. When you follow a link to a hatchery, nothing about you is passed along with it.
Analytics
Google Analytics (property G-HVJTL8BZ8V) records that a visit happened and roughly
where it came from, so it is possible to tell which pages are worth keeping. It sets cookies and
receives your IP address. You can opt out for every site at once with Google's
browser add-on.
Advertising
No advertisements are being shown yet. Google's advertising library is loaded on these pages so the site can be reviewed for the AdSense programme, and it can set cookies in your browser even while no advertisement is displayed. Everything below describes what that library does and what will apply once advertising begins.
Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure advertising, and may use your previous visits to this and other sites to choose what to show you. How Google handles that is described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings.
Advertising is marked as such wherever it appears, and never sits between a bird and its price.
Hosting
The site is served by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs and runs a small script to measure how quickly pages load. Their handling is covered by Netlify's privacy policy.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Personalised advertising in these regions requires your consent, collected through a consent tool certified by Google. That tool is not switched on yet, because no advertising is being served yet. It will be in place before the first advertisement is shown, and you will be asked before any advertising cookie is set. Refusing will be a complete answer — the site will work the same either way.
