About the Ameraucana
A true Ameraucana lays blue eggs and has a beard, muffs, a pea comb and slate legs. Plenty of birds sold under the name, and nearly everything sold as an "Americana", are Easter Eggers, which can lay green as well as blue. Both make good layers; the difference matters if you want to show or breed true.
